A BIT ABOUT ME......
A BIT ABOUT ME......
Hi, I'm Katie!
I've been photographing weddings for 17 years now, and have photographed a huge variety across the UK (& abroad). From huge 700 person events to tiny elopements where I was also doubling as a witness.....
....and I've genuinely loved each and every one of them.
For lots of couples, the best wedding photographer is someone who feels a bit like a mate: someone who blends into the day, gets along with your guests and helps you feel completely comfortable being yourselves.
That's why I feel it's super important to tell you a bit about me, so you can work out if I might be a good fit for you:
I’m a Yorkshire lass in my late thirties, now living in the North East of England.
I love outdoor adventures - hiking, camping, wild swimming and generally exploring wherever I can. I’m also a beginner-ish runner and have recently got into parkrun. (IYKYK)
I love rummaging around charity shops and car boot sales, especially when I find something weird, wonderful or ridiculously cheap.
I’m completely in love with nature. Wildlife spotting, wandering through forests, finding cool rocks and being near water all bring me a huge amount of joy and peace.
I’ve got a little microcampervan, which is ideal for spontaneous adventures, wedding road trips and escaping into the countryside.
I’m vegan, for the animals and the planet. See you at Vegan Camp Out?
I’m also a late-diagnosed ADHDer. It’s a big part of the energy I bring to wedding days - helping me notice the tiny moments, unexpected interactions and joyful bits of chaos that other people might miss.
I’m mum to a wonderfully funny and creative autistic daughter, and I have a strong understanding of neurodivergence.
I’m a big kid at heart. You’ll find me joining in on the swings, getting overly invested in a treasure hunt or taking crazy golf far more seriously than necessary.
I’m also pretty good in a crisis and love solving problems under pressure. Whether I’m working out an escape room, rescuing a struggling animal or coming up with a creative solution to an unexpected wedding day problem - don’t worry, I’ve got you.
My friends have described me as:
“The funniest person I know.”
“Always random.”
“Sunshine in human form.”
“Full of joyful energy.”
And, perhaps most accurately:
“Always having a random story to tell.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Despite all of the above, I’ve actually been single for years and have been compared to Bridget Jones on more than one occasion (See below!) Cheers, guys. x
